Many Rangers fans were astonished at the Scottish News of the World’s latest disgusting attack on the Rangers support, penned by “journalist” Lorna Smith. In the article, Ms Smith interviews a Mr Brian McJannett, in which Mr McJannett claims his son Zak was the victim of disgusting abuse at Ibrox, during the Rangers Celtic match last week. The article goes on to detail the “abuse”, on the word of Mr McJannet alone, with an implication of further evidence (that we are not shown). “A TWISTED Rangers fan terrorised a ten-year-old lad with a torrent of vile PAEDOPHILE taunts. The depraved yob targeted the boy with a string of warped insults and disgusting gestures for a full 90 minutes.” “The shocked schoolboy tried to hide by facing towards a nearby barrier, but the bearded brute roared: "You're just doing that so it's easier for your dad to **** you mate! You've been BEASTED by your dad." The moron then shockingly started apeing the sex act and made gestures so depraved and disgusting that they cannot be described in a family newspaper. Businessman Brian, who once ran a Gers pub, fumed: "I told him to leave Zak alone and that the lad was only ten but that just seemed to encourage him. "He kept STARING at Zak throughout the whole game. "We're season ticket holders at Parkhead so we know about the kind of things that go on at football matches.” I daresay the board of Rangers Football club have more to worry about this fine day than slime journalists besmirching the name of the club, but VB feel that any prospective new owner should be aware of what they may be letting themselves in for should they buy the club, and who they need to watch out for. Firstly we have Prestwick’s answer to Stavros Flatley. There has already been a number of communications to a number of Rangers sites regarding the McJannets, with one site running an article about McJannet Senior allegedly being a long standing Ayr fan. That may have been the case, but it’s patently clear that this MOPE is a classic “Jump The Dyke”, and does support The Bheasts. The article itself has more holes than Rab C Nesbitt’s vest. Firstly. What picture does “business man” conjure up to you? With all due respect to all self employed Window Cleaners, that’s not the first thing that comes to mind. Should you wish your windows cleaned by a respectable company, I’d suggest you do not use AKWA Clean. We are led to believe Mc McJannet, the Celtic season ticket holder ran a ‘Gers pub? McJannet’s Facebook page makes for interesting reading http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v385/gmouth/Mcjannetfacebook-1.jpg Membership of the following group perhaps isn’t the worst crime in the world, but it paints a picture of the sad little life Mr Mcjannet leads "I Bet I Can Find 1,000,000 People Who Hate Rangers FC!" Another comment on his Facebook page here “its as it looks i`m afraid...i`m happily chanting a song regarding how much i hate scotlands shame fc,whilst zak feels the need to get up on his seat and taunt the hibs fans...all caught live on sky tut tut,his mum wasnt impressed :-) So little innocent Zak likes to dole out abuse to opposition fans? Very interesting. Why Mr McJannet didn’t report said “incident” to the Police is something only he can answer, but I’d like to point out Ibrox doesn’t have a “north east corner” anywhere near the Broomloan Stand. Also interesting is the fact McJannett’s own brother has apparently disowned him as the following posts on pieandbovril confirm http://i594.photobucket.com/albums/tt21/hokeycokeyOK/mcjannet1.jpg Could this whole article be a work of fantasy? Strangely, given the allegation that this “abuse” took place for the majority of the match the NOTW hasn’t printed any vids or pics, on the flimsy excuse that it wasn’t suitable for a family newspaper. I’d suggest that Rangers Football Club do indeed check CCTV footage, and also request footage from Ms Smith, and Mr McJannett. Now on to Ms Smith, or Lawna_t, as she calls herself on Twitter. This sanctimonious bitch may have blocked her tweets now, but it’s too late. She did seem rather happy about her impending front page on Saturday Her bedroom sports an Irish Tricolour http://i46.tinypic.com/110lsvn.png She also doesn’t like Rangers fans too much So there we have it. Far be it from me to suggest that Ms Smith and Mr McJannett are being economical with the truth, but one suspects that the opening paragraph “twisted” comment applys to the author and interviewee for this piece. One can only hope, that given the subject matter, that Mr McJannett is not really George Brian McJannett. OpportunityKnox
