Regular visitors to Glasgow city centre over the past few years may have been unfortunate enough to encounter the rancid, foul-mouthed specimen of sub-humanity who regularly begs on Buchanan Street, our city's premier shopping thoroughfare.

Resplendent with Club Like No Other flag wrapped round shoulders, James Campbell could be heard mouthing IRA slogans and abusing passers-by who refused to fund his Bheastly work-shy lifestyle. Meanwhile bemused and bewildered tourists looked on.

Rather than jet-wash the filth from our pavements and dump it in the nearest trash-can, for some strange reason Glasgow City Council left this vermin to pollute the air unhindered.

If GCC had acted responsibly and had the amoeba removed and deposited at its spiritual home in the East End of Glasgow they may have prevented him from dragging a 57 year-old women into a lane on adjacent West Nile Street before assaulting and raping her as she pleaded with him to stop.

Had GCC social work department bothered to check they would have been aware that this Bheast had extensive previous criminal convictions. Shame on them.

These Bheasts are out of control. A sub-species who are a pox on our city and a danger to all right-thinking citizens. Glasgow deserves better.
